This is still case as it has been from the Stone Age. For an African, there is a song for every occasion.
The combination of Music, ceremonies and gatherings go back centuries not only in African culture, but also through out the globe. It is the heartbeat of every soul; it is engrained in the hearts and souls of every human being around the world. Music is the catalyst that marks and binds every occasion, and is the only form of communication that can break racial, language, borders, and cultural barriers. Music is the only fibre that moves through time unscathed, that appeals to the comprehension of the minds and ears of a listener in the decade whence it was created, and evokes the same senses presently.
